What a day!!!!!

Oh my goodness what a day it has been. Today was the first day of school in our little town and I had a major moment of "Oh my gosh, my girls are growing up". I guess it just had not hit me because we have been so busy getting things ready for school.

Both of my girls are starting milestone years. Sarah, the youngest, is starting 6th grade this year, her first year of middle school. Very scary time for a young girl. I pray that she will do well and make many new friends this year.

Katie, the oldest, is starting 9th grade. Her first year in highschool. She was so nervous when I dropped her in front of that big old school. I pray everyday that she will stay focused on what is important and not let things cloud her mind (you know, boys, friends, being cool). It just doesn't seem that long ago that I was in highschool and I remember how my grades dropped when the other typical teenage things started taking over my mind. We have talked on numerous occasions about this, I hope she listens.

Wii Fit!!!!

So, I have come to a point in my life that I weigh as much now as I did when I delivered my daughters. I have fussed and complained about it but haven't really taken too many steps to try and remedy the situation.

Well, that has all changed now, I am so excited. My husband and daughters wanted a Wii. I was kind of against it thinking about all the other ways we could spend that amount of money. (they are not cheap) I was finally overruled and the Wii was purchased.

Guess what he got to go with it just for me???????????? My sweety hubby got me the Wii Fit. This is the coolest thing ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before you start it does a body analysis, tells you your bmi, your current weight and you "age" as it coincides with your fitness level. It also lets you set goals that you would like to reach in your weight loss program.

It tracks all of this in a nice neat little way, showing you graphs, giving you fitness tips and keeping you motivated.

Just thought you guys may like to see how a video game is going to help me meet my weight loss goals. This is a really cool game system, not only does it get me off the couch but it also gets my family up and moving with all of the cool games that go with it.

You guys keep me motivated, ask how my program is going, I am going to try and blog my weight loss experience.

  You can do yoga, strength training, aerobics and balance exercises.

I took the handmade challange...... I can't wait to start my Christmas shopping. There will be a few things for my daughters that I will have to buy, but everyone else on my list will get either something handmade from me or bought from an indie crafter.....
